SPECIAL MEETING, January 20, 2014

The special meeting of the Wyoming City Council was held January 20, 2014 at the City Hall. Council members present were Agnitsch, Gravel, Taylor, Hollingshead and Washburn-Koranda entered at 6:45. Staff: Tjaden.  Visitors:  Willman.  Mayor Somerville called the meeting to order at 6:13 p.m.

Moved by Agnitsch seconded by Gravel to approve the agenda. Roll call vote. 

All aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Taylor seconded by Gravel to approve the FY 2015 Sheriff’s contract with the City.  Roll call vote.  All aye.  Motion carried.  Clerk assigned Resolution #1499.

Moved by Agnitsch seconded by Hollingshead to approve the FY 2015 Fire contract with the City.  Roll call vote. All aye. Motion carried.  Clerk assigned Resolution #1500.

Moved by Agnitsch seconded by Gravel to approve Resolution to rescind Resolutions #1489 and # 1490, set public hearing for proposed sale of property. (Rack’s Swinging Door not Tim Arnell)  Roll call vote.  All aye.  Motion carried.  Clerk assigned Resolution #1501.

Moved by Agnitsch seconded by Gravel to amend Employee Handbook for CDL physical’s to be paid by the City.  CDL must be valid for city’s equipment.  Roll call vote.  All aye.  Motion carried.  Clerk assigned Resolution # 1502.

Health Insurance was discussed.  Employee individual policies will be checked on to see if a better, less expensive policy is available than going with a group policy.

Jackie Luckstead from ISU extension sent a letter requested funding from the Council of Summer Discovery Camp.  In the past the City has not funded programs like these.

Budget Workshop was held.

Next meeting will be the regular meeting February 10th.
