Christ Wedemeyer Obit

Christ Wedemeyer was born at Crete, Ill., April 15, 1873. He was
received into Christ's Kingdom here on earth in his infancy through
Holy Baptism, and renewed his baptismal covenant, after thorough
instruction in the fundamentals of the Christian religion, at Maxfield
Lutheran Church, Maxfield, Iowa. On the 27 of September, 1906 he was
united in holy wedlock with Emma, nee Niederbrach. This marriage was
blessed with nine children. One child died in infancy. On February 27,
1945 the deceased was stricken with apoplexy. since that time he was an
invalid. He bore his cross with Christian submission. The Lord
delivered him from all evil of body and soul when on Thursday evening
at 4:55 He called him out of this life to Himself by a peaceful death.
He reached the age of 78 years, 7 month, 14 days. Those who morn his
death are: his sorrowing widow, four sons, four daughters, 18 grand
children, two brothers-Otto Wedemeyer of Waverly, Iowa and Carl
Wedemeyer of Sumner, Iowa, -three sisters-Sophie Mader of Oakland,
Calif. and Bertha Holms of Tripoli, Iowa and Caroline Schnurstein of
Tripoli, Iowa.
