DRESS CODE AND ITEMS NEEDED FOR CLASS

***ALL STUDENTS MUST BRING A FOLDER TO CLASS EVERY WEEK WITH LOOSE LEAF PAPER INSIDE.  THEY WILL LEARN DEFINITIONS OF MOVEMENTS AND WRITING DOWN THE STEPS THEY LEARN SO THEY CAN PRACTICE AT HOME.  (YOUNGER STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN PRINT OUTS WHICH THEY WILL PUT IN THEIR FOLDER).

1.      Pom: you must purchase a pair of pom’s from the studio for $20.00 (we use the same poms every year).  Black slip on jazz shoes or boots.  Jazz pants, capri’s or shorts.  Tight fitting tank tops or shirts must be worn because pom does focus on the arms so they must be seen.  No loose t-shirts or sweatshirts. Students must be 8 or older.

2.      Hip Hop: Black slip on jazz shoes or boots. Some classes may have the option of clean street shoes.  Jazz pant’s, capri’s, shorts, sweats. Tank tops or t-shirts are acceptable. Students must be six or older and have had one year or more in jazz or equivalent.

3.      Jazz/Contemporary: Leotard’s, jazz pant’s, capri’s, short’s with tight fitting tank top.  No t-shirts or sweatshirts. Tan or black slip on jazz shoes or foot thong’s depending on the class.

4.      Ballet: Tights, leotards (no non-attached skirts), shorts.  Pink ballet flats.

5.      Pointe: Tights, leotards (no non-attached skirts), shorts.  Pink toe shoes. Students must have taken one-year pre-pointe ballet.

6.      Lyrical: Tights, leotards, shorts, jazz capri’s, tight fitting tank top’s.  Foot thong’s. Students must have one-year previous ballet or take in combination with ballet.

7.      Tap: leotards, unitards, jazz pants, capri’s, shorts, tight fitting top. Black elastic band tap shoes for younger students and slip on for older students.

8.      Preschool/Combination Class: Tights, leotard (no non-attached skirts), unitards.  Pink ballet flats and black tap shoes with tap bands and no tie’s. 

9.      Tumbling: Leotards, unitards, shorts, sport’s bra’s, jazz capri’s.  No t-shirts or sweats. No shoes required.

10.  Boys: Shorts and t-shirts.  No jeans or non-stretchable materials.


-NO JEANS, HANGING JEWELRY, OR STREET SHOES
-HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK FOR CLASS IF LONG ENOUGH
