This scene is thought to be a Restaurant somewhere in the Keokuk, IA area prior to 1905. Some of the canned goods on the shelf carry a label called "Gate City". The man standing to the left is my grandfather. Can anyone identify the other two individuals, the place and time?
My grandfather was also thought to have been a semi-pro baseball player. It is well known the Keokuk has historically been a "baseball town". Click here for a photo of my grandfather years later as part of a baseball team in Farmington, IA.
