28. Samuel D LINDSAY was born on May 13 1802 in NC. He died on Aug 14 1869. He was buried in Fletcher Cem., Fletcher, OH. Samuel D. Lindsay was the sixth child of Samuel Lindsey Sr. and Eleanor Wilson of Lincoln County, NC. Samuel D. married Margaret Dilbone who was orphaned at the age of five when her mother and father were killed by an Indian near Fetcher, Ohio. Living in the next residence to Samuel D. and Margaret at the time of the 1850 census was her brother John Dilbone and his family.

Spelling of the Lindsey name in this family becomes confused as the 1850 census shows "Lindsey", the 1860 census shows "Lindsay" and the cemetery record is "Lindsay" while the marriage record is "Lindsey" for Samuel and Eleanor.

Listed Federal Census Springcreek township Miami Co. Ohio 1850 Roll 261. He was married to Margaret DILBONE on Mar 15 1827 in Miami Co., OH. Miami Co. OH Marriage Book D page 37.

29. Margaret DILBONE was born on May 1 1809 in Miami Co., OH. She died on Dec 9 1874. She was buried in Fletcher Cem., Fletcher, OH. Children were:
