26. John VAN CLEAVE was born on Dec 31 1810 in KY. He died in 1870 in IA. He was buried in Thompson Cem., Van Buren Co., IA. Had 3 sons and 7 daughters by marriage to Sarah Dunn per p. 103 of Van Cleef book. Moved to Iowa near Bonaparte in 1866 per Van Cleef typed notes. Clara was the only child married at the time and followed shortly. Had two daughters who married Hutchinsons. He was married to Sarah J DUNN on Feb 19 1840 in Washington Co., IN.

27. Sarah J DUNN was born in 1823 in KY. She died in May 1873 in IA. She was buried in Thompson Cem., Van Buren Co., IA. Children were:

i. Alice VAN CLEAVE died. died when small - date unknown
ii. unknown VAN CLEAVE.
iii. George VAN CLEAVE was born in 1841. He died in 1844.
iv. Clara VAN CLEAVE was born in 1843.
v. Albert VAN CLEAVE was born in 1844. He died in 1890.
13 vi. Sarah Catherine VAN CLEAVE.
vii. Cynthia VAN CLEAVE was born in 1849. Lived in Carlisle, IA in 1915.
viii. Lizzie VAN CLEAVE was born in 1851. She died in 1859.
ix. Margaret VAN CLEAVE was born in 1853. She died in 1908.
x. John VAN CLEAVE was born in 1856. He died in 1930. Mary Johnson Lowe says John owned farm in Nebraska that was in left to sibblings. Leslie and Everett used to go to Nebr. each year to check on the wheat crop. John lived in Wilsonville, Nb in 1915.
xi. Mellissa VAN CLEAVE was born in 1859. He died in 1949. or 1948? Lived in Norton, KS as of 1915.
