69. Alexander J. GREGG (Mary McCord JOHNSON , Alexander JOHNSON , James ) was born 1 Mar 1835 in Warren Co., OH. He died 2 Mar 1908 in Louisville, Clay Co., IL.

Enlisted Co. G, 117th Reg. IL Infantry August 12, 1862, discharged June 23, 1864with the rank of Captain at Memphis, TN. According to Pension application of Apr 1, 1907, Alexander J. Gregg was born Mar. 1, 1835.

Alexander married Mary S. BLAKEMAN on 4 Nov 1862 in Madison Co., IL. Mary was born about 1838. She died 19 Jun 1920.

Mary Gregg was said to be aged 70 years when she filed for widow's pension on Apr 25, 1908. She died Jun 19, 1920 according to letter to Bureau of Pensions written by dau. Viola M. Harris on Jun 24, 1920.

Alexander and Mary had the following children:
