Many activities are available for youth. The Christian Education Committee
provides Sunday School each week during the school year. There are Senior Youth
(high school) and Junior Youth (middle school) group programs. There is a
Children's Choir which performs each month. Kids can also go Pilgrim Heights
church camp near Tama, Iowa during the summer for a variety of programs.

Fellowship is a special part of our Christian experience. each Sunday after
services we meet in 'Fellowship Hall" for coffee, cookies and conversation.
The Women's Fellowship group sponsors many events each year including The Ice Cream social in the
fall, and the Stewardship Potato Bar.

The Fellowship and Worship Committee reach out to guests and new members to
welcome them to our church family.
|
|
|
The Sacrament of Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month.
It is also offered at Cedar Manor and Mechanicsville Nursing Homes for
residents who cannot attend services. |

Service to our community is important. "Cedar SHARE" is a monthly
food distribution project that provides high-quality items at reduced cost in
exchange for community service. "Called to Care" is a program where
caregivers reach out to others by spending quality time with those in our congregation
and community.

Our church is governed by a Church Council of Elders and
Deacons that are elected by the members of the church. There is no outside
governance of our church. |
