Welcome to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Webpage. St. Paul is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America , the Northeast Iowa Synod , the Shepherd of the Hills Conference . At the present time over 800 baptized members call this church their spiritual home. The congregation began in the Monona, Iowa community over 100 years ago. German immigrants made up the majority of members. At the present time our congregation reflects the greater Monona community with members claiming a variety of countries of origin.

Our congregation is known for its excellent youth ministry led by an enthusiastic group of adult advisors who have a heart for young people. We also have well trained Senior High School students who serve as acolytes at our worship services. Our gifted musical program includes a Senior Choir , Sunday School Choirs, a Luther League Choir and both a Senior and Junior Bell Choir . The women of the congregation are very active through their women's organization and Bible Study Circles.

Our paid staff includes one full time pastor under Call, one part time visitation pastor under contract, a full time parish administrator, a part time Confirmation instructor, and a custodian. Our organists and choir directors also serve in paid positions. Each member of St. Paul Congregation is encouraged to share their gifts of time, treasure, and talent in service to God and in love for others- serving both in the church and in the community.

Our worship times are: Sundays at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM (the Sunday following Labor Day through the last Sunday in May) and 6:00 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM Sunday (the first Sunday in June through Labor Day weekend.) We invite you to join us for worship. Thanks for your visit.

May God bless you!

Pastor Allen L. Bidne
