St. John Lutheran Church, Hubbard Iowa

A Member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod

St. John Lutheran Church in Hubbard Iowa has been bringing the Gospel of Christ to Hubbard and the surrounding communities of central Iowa since 1879.

St. John's Hubbard is;

Christ Centered We hold to the historic Christian understanding of Christ as True God and True Man. As God He found it necessary to lower Himself to be born in human flesh and blood that He might live a perfect life and die a sacrificial death. Through His offering of Himself we are given eternal life.
Bible Based We believe that Holy Scripture is God's Word. The purpose of God's Word is to give us Christ that we might be saved. We confess the Bible's historical reliability, truthfulness as God's inspired Word and inerrancy.
Confessional Our Church seeks to be conformed to the faith and practice of Holy Scripture as it has been explained in our historic Confessions (see Project Wittenberg Link below). These Confessions help the Church define her core teachings so that she is not tossed about by the waves of changing social whims.
Mission Driven It is not enough for us as the people of God simply to know we are saved. In love for Christ and the souls of those around us we actively seek to bring others word of Jesus' love for them. As a Church we do this by support of missionaries around the world, by local outreach, prayer and proclamation of God's saving Word.
