Rev. Bruce Hanson

Pastor Bruce Hanson presently serves the Geographic Parish of St. John Lutheran of Farmersburg and First Lutheran of McGregor.   Pastor Hanson has been a parish pastor in this area for the past eight years, with seven of them having been as the Pastor for St. John Lutheran of Farmersburg prior to its uniting together with First Lutheran of McGregor. Pastor Hanson is not only active in the parish via the usual pastoral duties that are called for, but he is also available for counseling and is an affiliate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family therapists.   Additionally, Pastor Hanson is involved in the communities that he is a part of.  He presently serves as a State Patrol Chaplain with Iowa State Patrol in this area as well as volunteering with the local volunteer fire and responder units.With the twenty-four plus years of Rural Parish experience that Pastor Hanson has had, he has brought much to these two churches that make up this Geographic Parish as well as the communities that they are a part of.
