Confirmation - St. John and First Lutheran churches participate in a joint confirmation program as a part of the Geographic parish.  The program is a two year program for seventh and eighth graders.  The classes usually run from mid September each year until the end of April the following year.  Because of the logistics of the Geographic parish and the location of the Middle School of the MFL MarMac system, confirmation is held on Wednesday afternoons at the Middle School building after school has let out for the day.

We are presently making two tapes per week and can also record a third tape for any member of the congregation that does not receive the cable service for Monona and can not make it to the church service. One tape is taken, by a volunteer, to NEI-Tel Company where it is broadcast on Tuesday morning at 9:00am. Then that tape is taken to the McGregor Care Center where it is replayed for the residents. The second tape is taken by volunteers, to the Scenic Acres Retirement Center and then to the Elkader Care Center.
