Side-Blown Flutes
(Add $4 shipping per order)
Each flute comes with a book with instructions for the beginning
player. Included are 18 songs by number so you don't need to know how to read
music to learn to play these simple songs.
Soprano Flutes ($27)
The small flutes we make come in four keys. Smallest
is E-flat then comes D, D-flat and C.
These small flutes are wonderful for children or adults who want
a high pitched flute that plays very quickly. C is the recommended key
for older students, it is the classic key for flute. D-flat is a key I
don't make a lot of but is an interesting choice. D is a popular
folk and rock key, a lot of Irish tunes are in D. E-flat is the smallest
flute we make and is not always available.
Alto Flutes ($33)
Alto flutes are in three different keys, B-flat, A and G.
These medium sized flutes are very popular. Most adults fit this size naturally.
G is the most popular, being a very good flute to accompany guitar, it has a
very mellow sound. A is a good folk key (it goes with D) and has a sweet pure sound.
B-flat is not as popular a choice as either A or G.
Bass Flutes ($40)
These are the largest side-blown flutes that we make and require very large hands to play them.
They come in four sizes (keys), F, E, E-flat and D.
D is the lowest and is very mellow (you should be able to pick up a basketball with one
hand to play this one). Next smallest is E-flat, It is not as popular as the other bass
flutes. The key of E is a great key, it plays very well with guitar (the guitar is in the key of E).
F is a wonderful classic key. It is the smallest of the bass family, adults with average
sized hands can usually play this size.
Student Model Shakuhachi
($50 plus $5 shipping per order)
This is a very good price for this product! It is a good choice for learning to play the
end blown Japanese style meditation flute.
Professional Model Root Section Shakuhachi
($200 - $240 plus $5 shipping per order)
These are top of the line shakuhachis and have a tremendous tone and flexibility. The price
depends on size and tonal quality. We usually sell the more expensive ones first.

This is my personal favorite. Made from paduk wood they have a beautiful vermilion color and
a resonant harp-like tone.
Psaltry Tape
($8 plus $3 shipping per order)
"The Bard's Journey" contains ten songs and is forty-three minutes long. It is very mellow plucked
psaltry music and was recorded digitally in a professional sound studio.
Bowed Psaltry
($265 plus $12 shipping per order)
It has a very haunting violin-like sound with a two octave chromatic range.
Dance shakers

These are fun for children and adults alike. They are made to be cradle safe for our youngest
customers.
