PC Fields has been developed to help manage a variety of field crops, their optimum production, and profitability. PC FIELDS has two primary purposes.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT -That of balancing maximum yields against the cost of doing so. This includes projecting the financial cost and gains from individual fields, or the entire operation.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT - That of evaluating the agronomic benefits of different practices, and maintaining historical records of chemical and other input usage's and the response of the crop to them.

KNOWING YOUR COMPLETE cost of production is difficult in today's reality of many inputs. This includes your labor and management effort (concentration on staying on top of all aspects of production) and direct costs. PC FIELDS can help organize and provide a central location for all your production data.

COST OF PRODUCTION is the primary concern of many operators. Crop production must be as efficient as possible. You have to plan carefully, stay on top of the costs, and assess your management practices at the same time. PC FIELDS can assist you with these objectives. With PC FIELDS you can keep current on the data from each field. Reports can evaluate management practices. PC FIELDS will organize and report back to you what you did where (and when). Cross referenced reports can bring up historical information. Soil tests and other key data will calculate a state-of-the-art fertilizer recommendation program for YOUR situation.

Requirements and Limits

• IBM PC compatible computer with hard drive recommended
• 640K memory or more:
  • Epson dot-matrix or true compatible
  • HP compatible laser or ink jet using PCL™ language resident ON PRINTER
  • Selected other ink jet printers that print in MS DOS mode.

Revision Status

Modified in 1999 to version 1.22 to make it Y2K compliant.
