Shiloh Bible Church

About Shiloh Bible Church

Shiloh Bible Church is a small country church nestled in the midst of corn and bean fields in west central Iowa. An independent, non-denominational, evangelical, Bible-believing church, it serves as a shining representation of the person of Christ in the surrounding communities of Linden, Yale, Panora, Perry, and Minburn. Its rural setting lends to its informal atmosphere. Its congregation largely consists of rural and small-town dwellers, ranging from young couples to senior saints. We seed to be family oriented, shepherding the flock of God through sound exegesis in Sunday School, Morning Worship, and Evening Prayer and Bible Study. We also offer a youth-family ministry on Wednesday nights during the school year.

Shiloh Bible Church has a strong missions emphasis. Nearly one-fourth of its offerings is given to missionaries and mission projects. It supports and participates in the ministry of Raccoon River Bible Camp, of Scranton, IA, whose doctrinal statement and mission reflect the beliefs of Shiloh Bible Church. RRBC provides a special ministry to our youth and families as they seek to grow in the Lord.

Shiloh's History

Shiloh Bible Church was organized in 1894 in rural Dallas Country, Iowa. The original church building burned down in 1914. The church family met in homes until a barn-style building was erected in 1915. That building was sold in 1917, and the group purchased the existing church building, which was moved to its current location. Electric lights were installed in 1945. A house was purchased and moved to the current location for use as a parsonage in 1946. In 1948, Shiloh left the Christian Congregational Church and shortly thereafter became a member of the Independent Fundamental Churches of America. It is now an independent, fundamental Bible church seeking to share God's life-changing Word with the world around it.

Shiloh's Pastor

Ben Eilers grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was while attending Northland Baptist Bible College that God opened up his eyes to realize his need of the Savior. While at NBBC he met his bride Sharon and was married the December before graduation. After graduation he and his wife moved to Ankeny. It was from here that the Lord led the Eilers family to Shiloh Bible Church.
