It is an honor to serve as your voice in state government.  I take the responsibility very seriously, and work hard for those who allow me this opportunity--my constituents in Senate District 21, in Jasper and Polk Counties.

Always remember -- I value your opinion on the matters affecting our great state.  Thus, in order to be a better representative of the people, I need to hear your thoughts.  My job at the Capitol is to channel those thoughts and ideas into an understandable vision for the alteration or creation of public policy.

Innumerable times I have been asked to assist constituents who are encountering difficulties with agencies of state government.  Knowing where to go, and who to see, generally solves the problem.  Remember -- I can only help when you let me know what assistance is needed.`
