Security Title & Abstract, Inc., located at 730 Second Street, Webster City, Iowa, was acquired by Webster City Federal Bankcorp on September 18, 2000.

   Security Title & Abstract, Inc., was opened for business on February 1, 1984 by Donald A. and Wanda M. Cook.

   The former Security & Title & Loan Company traces its history back to its incorporation in 1903, and for over 50 years had been solely owned by William A. Miller.

   On March 1, 1984, the abstract company of Hamilton County Abstract Co. was purchased from Crosley & Foster, Inc. Carleton Crosley and his father Varick C. Crosley had operated that company also for over 50 years.

   The records of both companies extend back to the original government ownership and the abstract books are continually updated from the records of Hamilton County.

   Security Title & Abstract, Inc. is a member of the Iowa Land Title Association and the American Land Title Association and is also a member of the Iowa Title Guaranty Division (Member #8160).
