Fiber Arts

Llamas have become an important part of our lives. We first came into contact with llamas 3 years ago when we purchased our farm. Scott had been reading various articles about what wonderful guard animals they are. I didn't want anything to do with any animal that would be spitting at me. So he talked me into "just looking" at some for the sheep. Well we came home with 3! It only took a few months & the sheep were sold only to be replaced by more llamas. I was hooked immediately! My lastest passion is with the Argentines. The Argentines heavy bone is what caught my attention, but their wool is what clinched it for me. I have been interested in the fiber arts for about 10 years now. The amount of wool the Argentines produce each year is quite impressive. The silky, fine fiber is a dream to work with. I am anxiously anticipating the vest that will be made from the wool of my very own Argentine. How could I possibly pass up those beautiful llamas that look like teddy bears? They are so lovable with such gentle dispositions. They are so beautiful to look at. Once again I am hooked!
