Willow is a Yellow Naped Amazon. She was the very first handfed bird I ever bought {16 years in birds}. My husband had met a nape and was smitten, he came home and told me he wanted to get a bird like the one he had seen. Well it just so happened I had made friends with the owners of D&D Aviaries and there napes where due to go to nest. So when the eggs where laid, and the babies hatched I started to make payments on Willow. We went and visited her while she grew at the breeders, we have her egg {as she was hatched in a incubator} She has a vocabulary that is unreal and is always surprising us with new stuff. Not to say she is a ham and a half. I could go on all day about her. I will say here though, napes are not for first time bird owners as they can be stubborn and aggressive if not handled right. I had been in birds and owned many wild caught amazons before getting Willow. They need allot of guidance and set rules.

Our newest member to our family of birds is Hezzi. Hezzi is a Yellow Naped Amazon, and an older sibling to our Willow. Hezzi came to use due to her owner coming down ill. We are just getting to know one another. Hezzi first owner did a wonderful job with her as she is soooo sweet. Hezzi has already shown me she has a wonderful singing voice, which is great as I love music and find her voice a joy. Come back often as I will be adding new pictures of Hezzi and the others as time allows.
