Hey,
Rush... We told You So! By Wayne Hicks

Considering the new rumor Mr. Limbaugh and others are
spreading, we felt the title of this article was appropriate. If we
could have, we'd have added in the sound of a big fat
raspberry!
The rumor surrounds a possible connection between
the Oklahoma City Bombing and the attacks on the World Trade Center
and the Pentagon by middle-eastern terrorists on September 11th of
last year.
Rush Limbaugh was apparently enjoying the
surprised reactions of his audience to this incredible revelation...
that there may indeed be a legitimate connection.
Perhaps the
large one needs to know who first brought that information to the
attention of the Real American Public...
On October 5th,
2001, Sierra Times brought you that news (link:http://www.sierratimes.com/archive/files/oct/05/edck100501.htm)
from none other than the man who headed the Oklahoma City Bombing
Investigation Committee, former Congressman Charles Key:
The
biggest related issue is the fact of the Iraqi soldiers resettled
within this country. After the Gulf War, President Bush began a
program of resettlement of Iraqi prisoners to the United States.
This program was continued and expanded by President Clinton. As a
result, there are many possible "plants" residing here, from
government-sanctioned "extremist" organizations in their own
countries, ready to participate in any terrorist activities their
"handlers" desire.
How many times over the past few months
have you been told that Iraq was somehow involved in the terrorism
that came to our shores? How many times have you heard that the Bush
Administration is planning to take action against Saddam Hussein for
that involvement? Sierra Times brought you the facts about that
involvement a full seven months before Rush and company even
considered mentioning it.
Forgive us for spouting off about
this, but we're getting sick and tired of people like Limbaugh
trying to pass off what our readers know as "old news" as some form
of investigative journalism on their parts! They didn't go out and
dig up the story... they just rehashed information that has been
sitting out there patiently waiting for someone to grab it and run
with it... and it was sitting out there because Sierra Times damn
well did go out and dig for it!
OK, so it isn't the first
time, and we know it won't be the last... but what is it going to
take to get it through some people's heads that Sierra Times is a
"real" news organization, that Sierra Times has consistently broken
the big stories before those other guys, that Sierra Times has
demonstrated over and over its commitment to getting to the truth
and getting it our where you can read it?
Hey, Rush... you
wanna get the truth to your listeners? Then why not just start your
morning with a cuppa hot coffee and a stop at the Ol' News Ranch?
Then you can share the big news almost as fast as Sierra Times
does!
And, while you're at it... how about giving Sierra
Times credit once in a while? Come on, Rush, and all the others like
him... you know you've stolen stories right off our front page, so
why not at least give us credit?
And, for the record... no,
this wasn't the first such story that we brought to you first... and
it won't be the last... and if you happened to catch our story on
the slow
postal system last week, then you might get a better glimpse of
what bee we've got under my bonnet when we mention one other
thing:
It seems that today, although it was never mentioned
in public before we ran that story last week... Congress has begun
complaining about slow mail delivery! Apparently they're just now
getting some Christmas Cards that were sent last
December...
Sound familiar? It should... you heard about it
here first, folks. Ok, we're done tooting our own horn - the rest
of today's news is below.
