Meeting and Activity Highlights: In March, Tanner and Rowdy Voss brought in their “SC” Case and talked about their restoration efforts.

For April, Jerry Kurka brought his Moline “ZA”.  Dan Cassill, who helped with the restoration, gave a presentation about the tractor and included some historical information about the Moline Company.  Also during this meeting Tanner Voss received a plaque and donation towards the restoration of a 720 Diesel.  Photos of progress were passed around.  Additionally, Max Manning was presented a plaque as thanks for his many extra hours of work which makes possible our great meeting site at Mowers and More.  A big thanks to Max and all those that have participated in meetings.  On a final note, Dave Timmerman reported that one day gate fees at Old Threshers in Mt Pleasant, IA have been raised to $12.  This includes admittance to the evening show.

Upcoming meetings and activities: There will be no regular meeting in May, June, and July at Mowers and More!!  On May 19 the club will tour the Titan Tire Plant in Des Moines .  The tour is scheduled to begin between 5:30 and 6:00 pm and last about 2 to 2 ½ hours.  The plant is located south of I-80 on 2nd Avenue .  If you would like to carpool, please plan to meet at Mowers and More at 3:00 pm to depart for Des Moines

At 7:30 pm on June 16, the club will meet at the Bloomfield power plant for a tour of this facility.  They plan to show us how the big engines are fired up.  The power plant is located just west of the southwest corner of the Bloomfield square.

Two-cylinder Days: About the same agenda as last year.  The show will be held at Bridgeview in conjunction with the Wapello County 4-H Expo.  Featured tractor is the Massey Harris.  Watch for more information in the next issue or pick up a flyer from Duane Bass.
