July
Meeting and Activity Highlights: In May the club toured the Titan Tire Plant in Des Moines. Regrettably I could not attend and can add nothing further.
In June, a small group from the club toured the Bloomfield Power Plant.
Mike Humphrey was on hand to explain the operation of the six large engines and fired up one of them. Bob Dutton especially enjoyed this event as he served on ships that also used these engines. Maybe at a future meeting we can get Mike to fire up the 12 cylinder, supercharged, “Screaming Meany”!!
