We'll spare you the ubiquitous "under construction" sign you see too much on web pages.  Suffice to say that like our interests, the contents of this page will vary from time to time.  

We try to vacation each year in the mountains.  The past few years we've made the trip to Alberta to enjoy the wonderful Canadian Rocky Mountains in the Banff and Jasper parks.  We're working on some commentary and photos from those trips to Alberta.

On one of our trips to Canada, we discovered the robust beer brewed there.  We particularly like the beers brewed by the Big Rock brewery in Calgary, but we can't purchase them in Iowa.  So we've been brewing beer at home.  We'll post here a few of our favorite--and most successful--recipes.   And here are a few more recipes.
