Decorative Commercial Neckbands is my newest
publication. These neckbands are beautiful trims to any garment and your options are
limited only by your own imagination. Although they work very well with sew 'n cut
necklines, you do not have to use sew 'n cut necklines. Examples of neckbands
include Piping and Stripes, Bound-off, Braided Trim, Fairisle I (boxes) and II (plaid),
Extended Lace, and Fancy Crocheted Collar. See photos below.
The Neckline Encyclopedia is a grouping of 55
neckline treatments. Each one has it's own step-by-step instructions and a large
picture. Many are single bed techniques. This is the one that is translated
from German by Gerda Stitt. Examples of neckbands include round neck, v-neck, and
some with collars. There are too many designs to share them all with you here!
Loop-Stitch Embossing is a special
hand-manipulated technique which lays embossed embroidery directly on the garment as you
knit it. The only tools necessary are a latch-tool and some weights (I use
clothespins). It is equally impressive on standard knits and bulky knits.
There are dozens of different types of treatments. Some examples of
individual patterns available follow:
