Whether your game is skeet, trap, or trying your hand at our Walt Bishop Sporting Clays Course, we at New Pioneer Gun Club (NPGC) hope that you take full advantage of all that we have to offer.

Your membership at NPGC enables you to participate in skeet, trap, and sporting clays shooting at cost-effective rates. Whether your decision to join is for participation in one of our shooting leagues, a desire to participate in registered or competitive shooting, or just to improve your wingshooting skills, please take time to try your hand at all of the clay target sports NPGC has to offer.

Most members are at least aware of the youth shooting program (Scholastic Clay Target Program) that the club supports.
At the recent SCTP Nationals attended by some 1500 youngsters and held at the World Recreation and Shooting Complex
in Sparta, Il, the Des Moines Area Clay Crushers came home with three national awards.
Our varsity squad, consisting of Brendan Appel, Chad Gleason and Matt Delanoit, took first in both high overall and skeet.
Our advanced intermediate squad; Will Thomas, Sam Mraz and Wyatt Powers took second in skeet.

Congratulations to all of the youngsters who participated in a very successful season and particular kudos to
Guy Thomas, Marita & Kurt Vogel and Doug Brower for the countless hours spent assisting.

SEPTEMBER 10-OCTOBER 29, 2009

ENTRY FEE:       TEAM ENTRY FEE OF $30.00 ($15.00 PER SHOOTER) MUST BE PAID BY THE TEAM
                             CAPTAIN IN ONE SUM, IN ADVANCE. NO SCORES WILL BE POSTED UNTIL
                             THE TEAM ENTRY FEE IS PAID.

COST:                  LEAGUE ROUNDS OF 25 TARGETS WILL BE SHOT BY MEMBERS AT CURRENT
                              MEMBER PRICE. ROUND CARDS MAY BE USED BY MEMBERS FOR MEMBER
                             ROUNDS ONLY. NON MEMBERS TO SHOT AT $9.00 PER ROUND.

HANDICAP: ALL SCORING WILL BE ON A TEAM HANDICAP SYSTEM. MAXIMUM TEAM
SCORE WITH HANDICAP WILL BE 98 X 100.

SHOOTING: LEAGUE SHOOTING WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHTS,
4 - 7:30 PM.

AWARDS:            PLAQUES FOR CHAMPION TEAM AS WELL AS SCRATCH HIGH OVER-ALL
                              INDIVIDUAL. BALANCE OF ENTRY FEES WILL BE USED FOR PRIZES TO BE
                              DRAWN AT THE NOVEMBER 12^TH LEAGUE PARTY NIGHT.

NEW MEMBERS: IF YOU JOIN NPGC BY OCTOBER 30TH,
YOU WILL RECEIVE 3 FREE ROUNDS OF 5 STAND.

INDIVIDUAL SHOOTERS WILL BE PAIRED TO MAKE TEAMS.
