Hi, my name is Jim, I was an EMT-I, licensed through the Iowa Department of Public Health, but due to me being an over the road driver, I had to let it expire.
I would encourage everyone to let their hair down and jump in and get the training to be either a First Responder, an EMT-A, EMT-B or maybe even higher. People out there are always needing medical assistance and services. After 09/11/01 every little bit sure helps.
I started my emergency medical training 8 1/2 years ago when I was certified as a First Responder through the state of Iowa. After going through several more classes, I became what I was, an EMT-I.
