Promotions .:.
Promotions will be based on Performance, Dedication, Battle Experience, Discipline and Leadership. Please don’t ask to be promoted, if you are deserving of one, it will come.

For squadrons, advancement from Corporal to Sergeant will be based on your participation in scrimmages, battles, practices, etc, and the skills you show in said activities. In battle, priority to fly aircraft will be given to the higher rank; lower rank will take support (mini-gun) positions if higher ranks are present to fly.

Members of the IAF are expected to show exemplary sportsmanship and teamwork at all times. Any derogatory comments or flaming on team speak, in the game, or on the forums will have you scraping mud off the skids of the choppers for the rest of the battle. We’re all here to have fun, and along the way kick some opposition a$$, if you don’t want to have fun, I’ll be happy to accept your resignation and refer you to my good buddy who’s hiring down at Wal-Mart.

Pilot Tryouts .:.
Pilot Tryouts will be offered at various times as will be listed in this section. You may also request a tryout if you happen to find [C5]IAF|Capt.Peanut or any other CO online who is willing to give a tryout.

*Tryout times subject to practice server availability. All times listed in U.S. Central Time Zone (GMT -6 hours)

Welcome .:.

First of all let me introduce myself a little bit. I go by the name Peanut and currently reside in Palo, IA in the United States (right next to the only nuke plant in Iowa…lucky me!)

For those who don’t know much about the Israeli Air Force…let’s just say we’ve got some big shoes to fill. The IAF is known world-wide for its amazing elite pilots, who, although usually out-numbered, are never out-skilled on the battlefield.

As the chosen few who have passed the entrance tests to fly in the 5th Infantry IAF, you are among the elite on the 21st Century battlefield…the chosen few from the masses who long to fly in battle. Your skills set you apart from the others you will be soaring above, but we must never forget that our success depends as much on those below us, as what their success depends on us. During battle if you are not piloting an aircraft of some form, you will be tasked to provide help on mini-guns, or act as a primary base defense force. Each position held by the IAF will be of utmost importance…we do not have any menial jobs to do.

From what I’ve seen in the past few days in practice, we have some very highly skilled pilots in our ranks, and will no doubt be a force to reckon with. We will be continuing to develop skills and recruit new pilots to ensure we remain top notch. The CO’s and your fellow teammates will be watching you, from their feedback and from my own observations I will offer promotions to those who have the qualities necessary to lead the IAF to total air domination.

Everyone in the IAF should be practicing as much as they possibly can as we prepare for battle. Don’t concentrate only on flying, make sure you are familiar with the various ground troop classes and know how to use them effectively when on primary base defense. Remember, if nobody guards the airfield and it’s lost, we have no planes and choppers to fly and the troops of the 5th will be in a bit of trouble.

This thread will be used to announce various news bits related to the IAF division of the 5th Infantry, as well as a place where we can discuss battle tactics and go over battle plans. Be sure that you stop by often to make sure you are up to date on the latest tactics and plans the IAF will be employing in battle. Also, please keep misc. chatter in this thread down to a loud roar so we don’t get lost in a sea of extra crap over useful battle strategy talk.

As your commanding officer, my door is always open, feel free to come on in anytime with your questions, comments and suggestions. As a division we should always be on the cutting edge of new air-combat tactics looking for new and different ways to overpower the enemy and support the troops of the 5th.
