![]() armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6:11 X During the month of December, the Anchor Character Training Center had four residents finish their individual programs at the facility. Rosa Barcenas from Hemet, California, finished her year program in mid- summer but stayed extra months so that she could finish her high school education. She graduated and received her diploma from the ACTC school at a special ceremony before she flew home to California. She called to tell us of her safe arrival and how glad she was to see her mother after a year and a half but added that she felt like she was away from her "home" here at Harvest Baptist Church. X Kenny Lazo, a second-year resident from Bayshore, New York, returned home to help his mother with a new baby brother. Kenny had a successful Spanish bus route and taught the Spanish Sunday school class before he left. He testified that more than ten people had been saved by the Lord's using him personally. Kenny felt he could now return home after his time in the program and overcome the pressure to be influenced by gangs in New York |
and that he could also have a successful relationship with his step father. X Michelle Vanderstelt finished her year in the program and has made a decision to stay at the ACTC and continue attending the Bible Institute classes at the church. Michelle, who is twenty years old, wanted to run away when she first came here but now gives a testimony of how much she has changed and of how much she has learned. Michelle is real work of grace from the Lord. X
