X Many people do not understand the ministry of the Anchor Character Training Center. Because of the lack of understanding we periodically come across people who feel that the A.C.T.C. program is too strict. There have been times that a church member has given an ear to one of the young people in the home and will listen to their complaints regarding the rules and standards. There have been just a few times that a church member stepped in and interfered in the program.

Let me help each and everyone of us to understand the type of ministry the ACTC program provides.

The Anchor Character Training Center's name describes the kind of program it is:

1. Anchor - Our purpose is to take un-anchored lives and anchor them to the Lord Jesus Christ through a constant, ongoing program of prayer, Bible study, Scripture memory, counseling and church services we are able to take a life that is out on life's angry sea and help them become anchored to the one and only stable thing in this universe - the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Character - We live in a day where there is little real biblical character in adults or young people; however, without character there will be no real consistent walk. These precious people are trained in areas of character such as honesty, truthfulness, loyalty, respect, duty, kindness, obedience, diligence, hard work, and more.

3. Training - Another word for training could be discipline. They are up each morning at 5.30 a.m. and in bed at 9:30 p. m. They have no access to television, rock music, or any other form of entertainment that would feed their flesh. From the youngest to the oldest they all attend hours and hours of training. They are given job responsibilities and their jobs are inspected on a daily basis.

We have just a short time with so many of the residents at the home, please do not interfere with the program. You can help us in the following ways:
1. Do not participate in handling mail for the residents.
2. Do not make promises to the residents without prior permission by staff of the ACTC.
3. Do not come to the home to visit residents without prior permission by the staff of the ACTC.
4. Do not give gifts or money to the residents without going through the staff of the ACTC.
5. Do not provide transportation to the residents without going through the staff of the ACTC.
6. Do riot provide phone contact for the residents. Phone calls are allowed only through the ACTC office.

Each and every one of the people at the ACTC has personal needs and the staff is aware of them. We have had people in the past interfere with the program and it creates a situation that is very difficult to deal with. The ACTC Is responsible for the residents. The parents that place them here are depending upon the staff to protect and provide the necessary needs and training of each one.

God has given us a tremendous responsibility! We need your prayers, financial support, and cooperation. There are only a few ministries in the entire nation like the Anchor Character Training Center. We are receiving young people and adults on a continual basis.

Please pray for the support needed to add more staff and the wisdom of Pastor to give the necessary guidance for the ministry.
