Iowa is divided into Rural Service Areas, or RSA's. Telephone companies that serve customers within the RSA could apply for a license. Those in our area decided to partner and form one company to better serve our area. Commnet was chosen to provide the necessary know-how and operate the system. Commnet is a Denver based company that has merged with Air Touch and is now known as Verizon Wireless. This serves a large portion of Iowa, and portions of other states.

We are a Dealer for and a partner with Verizon Wireless. There are several service plans, and they are updated frequently, so it is best if you stop by or call regarding the latest rates.

Cellular service depends greatly on the terrain and equipment that the customer uses. Hills and valleys make the best and worst conditions. An external antenna and full power "bag" type phone give the best results. Portable units have less power and are most useful when you are near a tower.
