GSASL Medals and Decorations

The following awards and decorations are available to GSASL players playing as the Russians/Russian Partisans in a GSASL campaign:

Medal for Combat Service - Awarded by Battalion CO after first GSASL victory

Medal for Valor - Awarded by Batt. CO each time the GSASL player's company strength of retained units is less than 50% of full company strength (based upon US#)

The Partisan Medal - (Partisan only) Awarded by Batt. CO when player's GSASL Campaign game score reaches +5 (Second Class); and when it reaches +10 (First Class). Additional Second Class and First Class medals may be earned at each multiple of +5 and +10 of the GSASL Campaign game score.
Note: Cannot be awarded before February 2, 1943.

Order of the Red Star - Awarded by Batt. CO when player records three consecutive Primary mission victories. Additional awards may be earned after each additional set of 5 consecutive Primary and/or Secondary mission victories.

Order of the Patriotic War 1st and 2nd Class - Awarded by Batt. CO when player's GSASL Campaign game score is +5 or better, GSASL Ladder Points total is 200+ AND a) the player loses 5 or fewer CVPs during the mission (including any temporarily attached units) or b) 2+ heroes appear for the player in a mission--(Second Class); all subsequent occurrences (First Class)
Note: Cannot be awarded before May 20, 1942.

Order of the Red Banner - Awarded by Batt. CO after each GSASL victory in a mission of The Fortress, Block Party, Bunker Busting, Bridgehead or River Assault

Order of Alexander Nevsky - Awarded by Batt. CO when a GSASL player completes a Primary mission which results in a Friendly victory and suffers 0% casualties (no casualty reductions or KIA) during the Mission

Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class - Awarded by Batt. CO when player's GSASL Campaign game score is +5 or better, GSASL Ladder Points total is 250+ AND the GSASL Primary mission VP differential between Friendly and Enemy forces is +35 or more (Third Class); +45 or more (Second Class); +55 or more (First Class). Only the highest Class will be awarded for any one Primary mission played. Awarded by Regimental CO to Battalion CO when one company in the Battalion has earned this award (Third Class); two companies (Second Class); all companies (First Class).
Note: First and Second Class awards may not be made before October 10, 1943. Third Class awards may not be made before January 14, 1944.

Order of Kutuzov 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class - (Battalion and Regimental COs only). Awarded by Regimental CO to Battalion CO when one company in one of the Battalions has earned the Order of Alexander Nevsky (or higher) award (Third Class); two companies (Second Class); all companies (First Class). Awarded by Divisional CO to Regimental CO when all companies in one of the Regiment's Battalions has earned the Order of Alexander Nevsky (or higher) award (Third Class); all companies in two battalions (Second Class); all companies in three battalions (First Class).
Note: First and Second Class awards may not be made before July 29, 1942. Third Class awards may not be made before February 8, 1943.

Order of Suvorov 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class - (Regimental and Divisional COs only). Awarded by Divisional CO to Regimental CO when all companies in one of the Regiment's Battalions has earned the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky (or higher) award (Third Class); all companies in two battalions (Second Class); all companies in three battalions (First Class). Awarded to Divisional CO when one Regimental CO has earned the Order of Suvorov (Third Class); two Regiments earn this award (Second Class) and three Regiments (First Class). When Regimental or Divisional CO earns the Order of Suvorov (First Class), the Order of Lenin is also awarded to the Regimental and/or Divisional CO.
Note: Cannot be awarded before July 29, 1942.

Gold Star Hero of the Soviet Union - Must have 300+ Ladder points. Awarded by Regimental CO, upon recommendation of Batt. CO. All leaders in player's GSASL company must be 9-1 or better. More than 25% of squads must be elite. All leaders must pass a NTC (modifier reversed). Award still at discretion of Regimental CO, based upon the player's AARs
Also: This medal is always awarded with the Order of Lenin

Order of Lenin - Must have 350+ Ladder points. Awarded by Regimental CO, upon recommendation of Batt. CO. All leaders in player's GSASL company must be 9-1 or better. Unit may not have any green or conscript units. More than 50% of squads must be elite. All leaders must pass a NTC (modifier reversed). Award still at discretion of Regimental CO, based upon the player's AARs.
