GSASL Medals and Decorations

Greek

The following awards and decorations are available to GSASL players playing as the Greek (or British in Greece) in a GSASL campaign:
 
Medal for Outstanding Acts  (Metallion Exerton Praxeon) - Awarded by Battalion CO after second GSASL victory
War Cross 1940  (Polemikos Stauros 1940) - Awarded by Batt. CO after first three consecutive GSASL victories OR following the GSASL Campaign Mission in which the player generates a Hero for the third time during the Campaign.

Note:  May not be awarded before November 11, 1940

Royal Order of George I (Basilikon Tagma toy Georgioya A) - Awarded by Batt. CO when player's GSASL Campaign game score is +5 or better, GSASL Ladder Points
  total is 200+ AND a) the player loses 5 or fewer CVPs during the mission (including any temporarily attached units) or b) 2+ heroes appear for the player in a mission

The first time this award is earned it is 5th Class, the second, 4th Class and so on...

The Royal Order of George I has civil and military divisions of 5 classes: 

1st Class - Grand Cross (Badge on sash & Star) 
2nd Class - Grand Commander (Badge on necklet & Star)
3rd Class - Commander (Badge on necklet) 
4th Class - Knight's Gold Cross (Badge on chest riband) 
5th Class - Knight's Silver Cross (Badge on chest riband)

The badge of the Order is a white enamelled Latin cross in gold (silver for the 5th class) with a laurel wreath between the arms of the cross and pendent on a royal crown. The centre bears the crowned back to back monogram of King George I on a red background, with the legend 'Iskys Moy e agape toy laoy' (or 'the love of the people, my strength'), the Kings motto on a white background.

Attached to the royal order is the Commemorative Medal of the Royal Order of George I, (shown in bronze at right). They were primarily awarded to non-commissioned officers, soldiers and civil servants.  Similar to the Knight's Cross less the enamel, the Commemorative Medal is worn on the chest riband of the Order and has civil and military divisions of 3 classes: Gold (gilt) Medal, Silver Medal, and the Bronze Medal.

Royal Order of the Phoenix (Basilikon Tagma toy Phoinikos) - Must have 250+ Ladder points. Must have played at least 10 total GSASL missions. Awarded by Regimental CO, upon recommendation of Batt. CO after player's GSASL Campaign game score is +7 or better and Reg. and Batt. CO are satisfied player has been suitably successful in following orders and is supported by AARs in overcoming enemy obstacles and problems faced on the battlefield.
 

The first time this award is earned it is 5th Class, the second, 4th Class and so on...

The Royal Order of the Phoenix has civil and military divisions of 5 classes: 

1st Class - Grand Cross (Badge on sash & Star)
2nd Class - Grand Commander (Badge on necklet & Star)
3rd Class - Commander (Badge on necklet) 
4th Class - Knight's Gold Cross (Badge on chest riband) --->
5th Class - Knight's Silver Cross (Badge on chest riband)

 

Cross of Valour (Aristion Andrias) - Must have 350+ Ladder points. Awarded by Regimental CO, upon recommendation of Batt. CO. All leaders in player's GSASL company must be 9-1 or better. Unit may not have any green or conscript units. More than 50% of squads must be elite. All leaders must pass a NTC (modifier reversed). Award still at discretion of Regimental CO, based upon the player's AARs

The first time this award is earned it is 3rd Class, the second, 2nd Class and so on...

The Cross of Valour was awarded only for acts of bravery on the field of battle. The 1940 issue was distinguished by the addition of a bronze bar bearing the date '1940' to the riband and was awarded in 3 classes:

1st Class -    Commander's Cross (Badge on necklet), 
 2nd Class -  Gold Cross (Badge on chest riband), and 
 3rdClass -    Silver Cross (Badge on chest riband).
