Born and raised near the Chicago Great Western Railroad in Oelwein, Iowa, I have been a railroad proponant all my life. In recent years, I have pursued the railroad dream by working part-time on tourist and freight railroads. Also, along with a few others, I am working to develop a shortline railroad and related enterprise. My "real" job is school counseling for an Eastern Iowa public school. I have been an educator for over 13 years.
