musings on
synchronicity
and the value of
paying attention

Consider this site as Google-with-articles or a pared-down Wikipedia. The founder and editor-in-chief, Michael Himick, formerly managed a group of science, history, and culture editors at Britannica.com, where they "invented online features." Now, Himick and his editorial team at KnowledgeNews research, write, and edit a wide range of articles and e-books that provide detail and backstory to general subjects and issues of the day. Think encyclopedia with quirks. Primary categories are "World Tour," "Americana," "SciencePhiles," and "Almanac."

A subscription-based service, KnowledgeNews offers a 21-day free-trial period to their Google-powered searchable library. Special reports and e-books delve into topics ranging from Russia under Putin, the U.S. Supreme Court, how the Allies prevailed in Germany during World War II, Oktoberfest celebrations, or the science behind stem cells. Current keyword lists lead to search lists and article abstracts on a variety of topics.
