Unified Vision
The unified vision of the Lord Jesus Christ Army can be summed up
in a few sentences, yet we as people myself included seem to get
sidetracked from fulfilling it easily. The main part of the mission
and vision is to have everything directed to leading new people to
true salvation in Jesus, and to take dominion over that which was
lost. To take back the Land that the devil has stolen, that which
Jesus had truly won back at the crucifixion.
Just like in Habakkuk, Then the LORD replied: ""Write the
vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads
it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at
the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait
for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. The
key point that must be emphasized here is the simplicity and clarity
of vision that the Lord wants us all to have. I feel the reason that
the Lord wants it this way is so that if all the leadership gets
destroyed the average person will still know the plan.
In the US Army during Operation Desert Shield , the entire US
force structure had a clear concise vision, of what to do and they
readily accomplished it , and everyone knew what the mission was.
Yet a year and a half later in a land called Somalia we had
politicians trying to make combat soldiers a police force that were
hated by the local warlords, and we had no true mission in this
country and our troops were overburdened by inept rules of
engagement that the whole thing went bad through poor leadership and
a lack of clear and concise goal of how to handle the task at hand.
From history we should have learned that whenever an army gets off
course and winning the war is not the objective you are heading for
a problem, because you are using forces for a mission that they were
not designed for and you are weakening the army by getting it
sidetracked off of the main vision and mission.
The Army of
the Lord as a whole must be focused upon the task of evangelize the
Lost if we are going to be an effective Army. And this task can only
be accomplished effectively if we work for the Lord Jesus as a true
team, laying down our denominational differences, and having the
transparency and trust in the Lord to lay down our individual
kingdom, and start building the Lord’s kingdom here on earth. How
many pastors out there are afraid of letting down their guard
because of fear of losing sheep, and tithe money, that they can’t
let their own programs go and do the true will of the Lord. Please
hear my heart I not speaking about all pastors but we all know the
ones I am talking about here, all we can do is pray that the Lord
shows up in their lives and personally changes their hearts through
a power encounter. If the Lord would not have shown himself in a
powerful sovereign way I would not have changed, but I believe we
are all called to a high purpose and plan, and we must be doers of
what God has called us to be and we must grow and mature as
Christians to the point that we can clearly identify the true voice
of God whether it comes as God’s clear audible voice, or the still
small voice he talks to us in. Jesus said in John 10
2 The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his
sheep. 3 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the
sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads
them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes
on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his
voice.
This is why it is mission critical that we all can hear the true
voice of the Lord, because I believe that the Lord wants to wean us
off of letting others hear the voice of the Lord for us. I
personally believe that this is where we get clear vision from being
able to hear directly from the Lord, and this can usually only come
to pass from closeness and true worship unto the Lord. Because when
we press into the glory of God he has hidden knowledge that
confounds the wise of this world and the Devils World. This is
scriptural in , 1 Corinthians 2 Wisdom From the Spirit
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the
mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age,
who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we speak of God's secret
wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our
glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age
understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the
Lord of glory. So basically what I am saying about the unified
vision is that when we all come to Christ in a new mature way
through closeness that He will reveal; his true plan for us to
accomplish , even in the void of no other spiritual leadership in
our lives.
One of the keys to running a free Army where people follow
because of respect and there is some consensus in leadership. Even a
private in this army can read a map and use a radio, and knows who
else is on the team, this gives an army of this type a tactical
competitive advantage. This is evident in the old USA NATO vs.
Soviet Warsaw Pact conflict game scenario of the last decade. The
Soviet Dictatorial leadership was based on brute force and
instilling fear in subordinate leaders and all low level followers,
the game plan was only shared with a few mid to high ranking
officials , and if the leadership was taken out the army, it could
not function. In the Soviet army only the officers could read a map
or use the radio to communicate with higher levels.
So if the battle plan is not passed on and made simple , you are
setting the army up for failure when the first layer of leadership
is targeted for elimination. But if we train up the Army of the Lord
, then if the first layer of leadership is gone the Army will still
function and overcome the enemy.
The Infantry
The infantry is probably the oldest form of specialized combat
troops in any army structure. These are the soldiers that go into
battle with the objective of infiltrating the enemy lines through
focusing forces at a weak point in the enemy lines to break through
the lines.
Modern Infantry can be broken down into four basic subclasses:
1.) Mechanized Infantry
2.) Light Infantry
3.) Airborne Infantry
4.) Air Assault Infantry
1.) Mechanized Infantry: This is like the 3rd ID they have
modern Armored Personal Carriers to get the troops to the front
lines. When the troops get to the front they dismount and then they
are light infantry fighting side by side the armor. They have the
added protection of the vehicle they are in to provide protection
from the enemy mortars, artillery, and small arms fire, when they
are in the tracked vehicles.
In the modern church these people are the fortified small to
medium sized ministries that focus on special evangelistic efforts
where they have a armored vehicles i.e., the backbone and
thick-skinniness. The mechanized infantry have the ability to meet
the challenges of the enemy and advance to the front at high speeds.
Most Modern Infantry and Armored Divisions also known as the heavy
division use this infantry tactic to get the troops safely to the
battlefield , and have them dismount the vehicles to take out enemy
obstacles that are too small for the tanks to effectively take. The
infantrymen are the ones who also have their own small machine guns
and individual weapons, these in God’s kingdom are the marketplace
ministers who take the gospel to the world in an effort to change
and take the land for the Lord Jesus. Within the basic infantry
company there are sub specialties that really stand out one of them
being the mortar platoon, these troops harass the enemy with weapons
that resemble small artillery pieces that a squad of soldiers carry
into battle with them, they provide direct fire support to the other
advancing troops by using suppressive fire to keep the enemy down.
In God’s kingdom these are the prophetically gifted people that
constantly pray for small groups and church efforts to advance God’s
kingdom. They are effective at routing strongholds especially when
several prophetically guided prayer teams start to pray on the same
issue as the Spirit leads, this will always route and thwart the
enemies plans. Another sub-specialty in all infantry companies are
the snipers, they use high-powered rifles with scopes that can see
long distance to take out strategic targets of enemy value. In the
kingdom of God these are the prophetically gifted people who have
long-range vision and the ability to see what target the Lord wants
to bring down in prayer. This could be someone who is evangelistic
and who hears from the Lord that certain strongholds are coming
against the true word of God , and they specifically pray against
that sort of
principality the vision and the prophetic gifting allow infantry
to move into areas that were just moments ago in the hands of the
enemy, and the snipers try and take out key leaders form a distance
to cause fear and chaos on the enemy camp. In true war the thing
that seems to cause the most angst on even trained combat seasoned
soldiers are both mortar & rocket attacks, and sniper attacks.
This I feel from experience is the fact that the soldier on the
ground cannot see or in most cases hear the enemy or ordnance used
until one is a casualty of the enemy.
This actually causes natural fear in anyone when they have been
exposed to this kind of almost indefensible attack. This is what God
used in II Kings 7 to cause confusion and fear in the Aramean Camp
when he sent the 4 lepers out in the to conquer the city. The
Siege Lifted 3 Now there were four men with leprosy
[4] at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each
other, "Why stay here until we die? 4 If we say, 'We'll
go into the city'-the famine is there, and we will die. And if we
stay here, we will die. So let's go over to the camp of the Arameans
and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we
die." So as one can see it takes great courage on the part
of those called to be in the infantry even when we do it God’s way ,
it still is a frightening thing that one looks back on afterward and
is grateful for the provision of the Lord when in battle. So a small
unit of basic mortar man caused the enemy to become afraid
5 At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the
Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was
there, 6 for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the
sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to
one another, "Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and
Egyptian kings to attack us!" 7 So they got up and fled
in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys.
They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives. 8
The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp and entered one
of the tents. They ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and
clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered
another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.
9 Then they said to each other, "We're not doing right.
This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we
wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once
and report this to the royal palace." 10 So they went and
called out to the city gatekeepers and told them, "We went into the
Aramean camp and not a man was there-not a sound of anyone-only
tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were."
11 The gatekeepers shouted the news, and it was reported
within the palace. 12 The king got up in the night and
said to his officers, "I will tell you what the Arameans have done
to us. They know we are starving; so they have left the camp to hide
in the countryside, thinking, 'They will surely come out, and then
we will take them alive and get into the city.' " I bring up
this point because the efforts of these four men caused the city to
be liberated and in all infantry cases someone had to have the faith
and guts to take the land to advance the kingdom of God even at
times facing the possibility of death. These great soldiers are the
ones talked about in Rev 12 vs. 9-12 9 the great
dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or
Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth,
and his angels with him. 10Then I heard a loud voice in
heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the
kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser
of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has
been hurled down. 11 They overcame him by the blood of
the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their
lives so much as to shrink from death. I feel that these
specialized infantry soldiers are at times overlooked but very vital
to the entire function and mission of the End Time Army.
2.) Light Infantry
These are just like the mechanized infantry yet they are even
lighter and more mobile relying on hummvees, jeeps, motorcycles, and
sometimes even on foot to get to remote areas of the battle that
heavier mechanized units cannot ever get to. These units are the
most in shape soldiers in the regular Army because at times they
must carry in all of their supplies and ammunition and still keep
fighting for days at a time. These troops are used mostly in remote
areas where you cannot get a heavier division into the region
through lack of infrastructure development. The one unit my brother
was in was a light arctic infantry regiment, another type of light
infantry that is being use right now in Afghanistan which is the
10th Mountain Division. This division was designed to take out
enemy’s high places and traverse the large mountain obstacles to
secure the land for the Lord’s by sake taking back the land once
belonging to the enemy.
In the modern days these are groups of people who have a heart
for the lost , and take this vision to the areas where the devil has
a stronghold in place, they can go where other cannot due to being
out of shape, and not seasoned to the task at hand. These Christian
can work well with little direction, and no external support for
long periods of time. Some examples of light infantry are the people
with a heart to reach fringe element groups such as bikers, street
people, drug addicts, alcoholics and others, and they work with very
little supervision and support themselves mostly because they most
likely do not have a tithing church membership to support them.
These are the ones who go where nobody wants to go to take down the
enemy’s strongholds. They have the same support teams that help push
back the enemy such as snipers and mortar-men and the resolve and
will to take the battle to the enemy strongholds that are high
places that need to come down. In the following scripture 2
Corinthians 10 3 For though we live in the world, we do
not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight
with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have
divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish
arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the
knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ.
