All Lions, Lionesses, Leos and Partners in Service, plus anyone interested in Lions and Lionism are invited to hop aboard. Cost of the trip is $24 per person, which includes the bus and munchies and soft drinks enroute. This does not include the cost of noon or evening meals.
The bus will originate from Iowa City and will pick up the first passengers at Coralville at the Wal-mart parking lot on the south end at 8:00 a.m.(near I-80 exit). The next stop will be at the Tipton I-80 exit at the Cove, parking on the west side at 8:45 a.m. The last pick-up stop will be at the Machine Shed Restaurant in Davenport, just off I-80, parking in the far west end.
There will be soft drinks and some muchies aboard to eat enroute. The bus has rest room facilities on it. We will stop somewhere outside of Oak Brook for a noon meal.. We plan to arrive at Lions International Headquarters at 1:00 p.m. The tour will take between two to three hours. We will stop somewhere on the way back for the evening meal.
The bus we have is a 49 capacity bus. We have the option for a larger bus or a second bus if the need arises.
This is a great chance for Lions, Lioness, and Leos and their guests to visit the International Headquarters and see what keeps our international organization going smoothly out in all directions all over the world.. If your club is in need of any Lions material, you can pick them up. It is a good idea to have your club number available if you need it. Your club secretary can provide it to you. The flags of all the nations involved in Lionism hang there.
