August rolls around and it feels like summertime is coming to an end with most people getting ready for back to school. Since it is August of 1999, most business people are preparing for Y2K. If they are not, well....

Here at IFC, Y2K testing was done at the beginning of the year. We determined that it would make more sense to dump money into a new system, than try to fix our old program. Therefore, last month we had a new network installed. Hardware, software, email, fax, Windows 98, Office 2000, the whole shebang. Because of this new technology, we are able to offer (or will be able to shortly), several new things.

First, IFC bought it's own domain name, insurancefinancecorp.com. Due to this, our web site is now available at that address, if that isn't how you found this. Our old address will also be maintained.

Second, everyone in our office now has email addresses:

Third, everyone will be able to send AND RECEIVE faxes directly from their desks! That's exciting, no more jumping up and down to the fax machine.

I think there will be many more enhancements to our ability to service our clients down the road!

Fourth, we are in the final testing period of our new "Windows quote disk". This is the disk that we give to all our agents that do business with us. It has many improvements made to the old FoxPro version. ASK US HOW TO GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS DISK!
