Before you pour it, get it to the right
temp. as a rule of thumb, most light beers should be served chilled.Girl serving beer Most Dark beers should be served cool.
If this batch didn't turn out quite like you wanted it to, remember chilling the brew is a good way to hide the flaws!
On the other hand, if you have spent hours perfecting the blend of malt and hops don't chill it too much, or your work will have been in vain as you will lose much of the flavor.

True lager beer:
These beers are always made with bottom fermenting yeast. They are fermented in the primary at 50-55 degrees or lower for about 1 week, and are then "lagered" or aged in the secondary at temperatures below 40 degrees and above freezing for up to 6 months. After this prolonged lagering very little yeast is left for priming so sometimes a little freshly started yeast is added at bottling time. A similar, but inferior effect can be had by fermenting as usual bottling as usual and then aging the beer in the bottle at lagering temp.
