Trooper Tales

This book is a product of my ministry called “The Hometown Missionary” .
I started  this ministry in 1995 as an outreach to people of all kinds. I wanted a way to
encourage people to live out their faith on a daily basis. I have found that
it helps to share the events of our everyday lives with each other.
I am just a regular guy. I have my own set of struggles in life, and I have
plenty of bills to pay. Like every one else in the world, I have my own
calling. I am a police officer.
I am out in the real world every day. I come in contact with what are
sometimes some pretty unusual situations. Because I am incredibly good at
being a sinner, the Lord often has to teach me lessons along the way. I type
out these lessons, some about police work and some about my personal life, to
share with all of you, to let you know you are not alone in your struggle to
fuse together all the little pieces that somtimes pile up in our lives. When
our Christian walk turns into a crawl, it is  helpful to know that we are not
alone, and to be reminded that greater is He that is in us than He that is in
the world, the world to  which our Lord sent us to share the Good News of
Salvation (Mark 16:15).
I sincerely hope you will be able to relate some of these lessons to your own
personal life. I hope I am not the only one God has to work on continually!
It doesn’t matter what church you attend or what your background is. If you
believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God, that He died on the cross
for the remission of sins and rose again defeating death for all who believe
for all time, then you too are a missionary in your hometown!
I pray that these stories encourage you in some way. I pray that you will
find the courage to share with others. In the everyday real world, Christians
who are getting beaten up need backup Christians to stand with them.
Non-believers who are dying need our urgent response.
This is the real thing! Code 3, 10-33, red lights and siren!
