"To be in a place and time when the niceties of life are not only observed
but revered.
A time when one cannot so much go back to a bygone era,
but rather make the present a more enriching
experience, never to be
forgotten by the civilized soul."

THE HATTIE GRACE!
One of the oldest homes in Odebolt, the Hattie Grace has
been lovingly restored to its early 1900's Victorian beauty, and
provides serene accommodations for its guests. A charming front
porch invites the weary traveler to relax in comfortable wicker
furniture, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of small-town living.
On the first floor, guests can relax in the
parlor, watch cable television, browse in the library, or enjoy a
romantic candlelight dinner in the spacious dining room.
Four beautifully decorated bedrooms and a shared bath
with a luxurious antique clawed tub are located on the second
floor. A bath with shower is located on the first floor.
Three rooms feature queen-size beds, each with a hand-crafted quilt in
"garden trellis", "checkerboard" or "old maid's
puzzle" design. The remaining bedroom has twin beds.

WHO IS HATTIE GRACE?
The Hattie Grace Boarding house is named after two
beloved women in Sherry's Gritten's life.
Hattie Alderson Ohlson, her maternal grandmother, was a
farm woman who lived near Schaller, Iowa and raised ducks, chickens and
geese. A tiny woman, she always in a hurry, caring for her family,
friends, and neighbors. The coffee was always ready, and her
homemade pies earned her a reputation of a fine hostess.
