3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
Rules and Guidelines
1. Games will be 9 minutes with the clock running continuously. Winner of the game will be the team ahead at the end of time.
2. Each team may register 4 players. Only 3 may play in any one game. No substitutions during a game. If a player fouls out, the team must play the remainder of the game short.
3. No time outs. No stalling. One one warning will be issued.
4. After all baskets, fouls, and out of bounds calls, the ball must in bounded at the top of the designate line. The ball must be passed in across the designated line, not dribbled. After a steal or turnover, the ball must be brought out to the designated line, but may be dribbled in.
5. Referees will be provided.
6. A player is allowed 4 fouls. A technical foul counts as two fouls.
7. No zone defense unless a team has to play short a player.
8. All teams are guaranteed at least two games.
9. The home team will be the team in the upper level of the bracket. The home team will call the flip of the coin to determine the possession of the ball at the beginning of the period.

10. Overtime will be 2 minutes in length, with a coin flip to determine possession at the beginning of the overtime period. If a tie exists after the first overtime, a flip of the coin will determine possession of the ball and a "sudden death" overtime will commence — first basket wins.

11. All Jerseys must have a number on the back.
12. No Co-Ed teams
13. A player may play up an age group but may not play down.
14. A player can play on only one team in their age group. They could, however, also play with a team in an older age group.

15. T-shirts and medals will be awarded to first, second and third place, everyone will receive a participation ribbon.

16. Hamilton County Exposition will provide warm up and game balls. Please do not bring your own personal basketballs.
17. No unsportsmanship like conduct will be tolerated. These games are for fun and to learn. Please treat everyone with respect.
18. Games will be held regardless of weather conditions.
The Hamilton County Exposition will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries to participants or spectators. The Hamilton County Exposition will also not be responsible for thefts or loss of personal possessions. Coaches will be responsible for their players while on Fairgrounds Property.
