We have created this page in appreciation of our fellow firefighter and brother Todd Hoing, who at the age of 40 has enlisted in the Army Reserves. Todd has been a volunteer in Central Iowa for several years, and also certified as an EMT in 2004. But volunteering wasn't enough, while still keeping his full-time job in local industry, he applied and was hired by the Marshalltown Area Paramedic Service. We haven't even discussed the time and training Todd spent to fulfill his dreams of wildland firefighting. Over the past few years, he has traveled several times out west for two weeks stints on major wildland fires. The following pictures were taken on September 9, 2007 at his send off party put on by the GMFD.
