From research comparing Lutheran colleges with large public institutions, it is clear that Lutheran colleges are far more effective at actively involving students in the classroom, at generating participation, and leadership in extracurricular activities, and at integrating faith and values throughout the college experience. Due to the low numbers attending our circle this year, we are unable to fulfill our obligations to these worthy causes. As done in the past, we will be taking a Special Offering for the Women of the ELCA on Sunday, October 19, 2008. If you will not be here that Sunday, please feel free to drop an envelope with your offering in the plate any Sunday and mark it for the Women of the ELCA.
