Our Sunday School consists of 92 students, 14 staff members and an adult class.   Thirteen years ago the Titonka United Methodist Church approached us about joining our Sunday School program, due to their small class sizes.  This joint program has been a blessing for all involved.  The Parish Ed Committee consists of members from both churches, with a member from Good Hope serving as chairman.  A minimum requirements curriculum guide was implemented a few year ago, as a supplement to the weekly SS material.  This curriculum guide basically incorporates memory work into their year of education.  The teachers appreciate this guide, and it helps them to know what the children have learned before entering their class as far as memory work is involved.  The memory work includes Psalm 23, Ten Commandments, Books of the Bible, Bible verses, etc. This guide also lists resources available in our church library for all the teachings.  Our cherub choir (Nursery-2nd grade) sings in both churches the 3rd Sunday of each month.  Junior Choir (3rd grade-6th grade) sings in both churches on the 1st Sunday of each month.

Bible Camp

Many children at Good Hope spend a portion of their summer at local church camps.  Our congregation helps each camper financially with a campership which applies to their camp registration fee.

VBS

Churches in the Titonka area (Good Hope Lutheran, Titonka United Methodist, Doan United Methodist and Ramsey Reformed) participate in a community wide Vacation Bible School program.  The VBS theme for 2008 will be "Camping".  VBS will be held August 4 - 8, 2008.
