The Youth of the Church are very important to Gloria Dei. And that's why we continue to provide year-round activities, programs, and events for the youth of all ages. Pictured here are a few examples of our 1998 Vacation Bible School program.

SUNDAY
SCHOOL
Sunday School at Gloria Dei is held every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from September through May. Classes from Kindergarden to Eighth grade are taught by volunteers from the congregation, under the supervision of a Sunday School Superintendant and the Church Council. Music is a regular part of the Sunday School program, and children often sing for church services. Children also prepare every year for the annual Christmas Program, which is always a favorite among church members.

Vacation Bible School is another exciting time at Gloria Dei. Held in the Summer months when childeren are out of School, VBS provides a week long program which includes Bible lessons, Music, Crafts, and a LOT of Fun! The week ends with a VBS program that showcases what the children have learned during the week, followed by fellowship and more fun during the family picnic. VACATION

CONFIRMATION
CLASSES
Confirmation Classes begin with junior high students in 7th and 8th grade. The Eighth grade class meets at 3:15 p.m. Thursdays. The Seventh grade class meets at 6 p.m. on Thursday evenings. The classroom requirements include: study of the Old and New Testaments, the Ten Commandments, The Sacraments, and Luther's Small Catechism. Each student also chooses a mentor from the congregation to meet with monthly.

The Gloria Dei Luther League, is open to all High School youth, and provides a fun, open, and meaningful atmosphere for the young adults to talk about current issues, enjoy fellowship, and grow in their faith. Members of the Luther League are also involved in Congregational and Community service and Synod and National Conventions.
