It really was my intent to update this in February but, I happened to blink one day and then the month was over! I am teaching part-time this semester so my time is divided yet again. Did you all receive your letter in February with all the hotel/camping information? So far, we have heard from about 70 of you who are coming in June. That's marvelous! We have begun to put the book together, sorting through the data and photos that will be included. Thank you to everyone who has already sent in their family information and original photos. We are keeping track of them for you. If we misspell your name or have you on the list twice, we apologize. With 480 names (and still adding) in the computer, it is easy to make an error like that.
I have added some photos of the newest Innis, my niece Sierra Michelle Innis. She was born Feb. 11 at 11:11 a.m. and will be at the reunion in Woodward! Her daddy is my brother Joe R. Innis, jr. Sierra is the great-great granddaughter of Joseph Allen and lives in Lombard, Illinois (Chicago area).
I have added two excerpts from the 1916 Oklahoma history book on Joseph A. and John N. Now please be aware that dates and some information do not agree with that found elsewhere. This happens quite a bit when researching family histories. For example, the history book states that James and Sarah were married in 1853. Larry Dean supplied us with a copy of their marriage certificate which states they were married in 1858. (Yes, there will be a copy of the certificate in the book.)
Let us hear from you now. I love to get email messages from you and I share them all with Karin. We thank you for your contributions toward the postage/copying required for all these mailings. It has really helped defray costs. There are less than four months to go, folks! So start resting up those voices. I've never known an Innis who didn't love to talk! Have a wonderful spring and I'll be back in April!
