Michael is 23 years old, and works at The Learning Company (formerly Mattel Interactive) in Cedar Rapids, IA. He works for the Entertainment Division in the On-line Support department. He provides tech support by email for computer games that The Learning Company has created. He really enjoys his job. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing bass guitar for the worship team at their church, River of Life Ministries. He is also working with a few of his friends on the makings of a new band. He has been playing for 5 years, and finds it a wonderful way to worship God. Michael also enjoys working with photography, computers, woodworking, gardening, and getting rowdy with his boys: Jacob and Chris.

Heather is a 25 year old stay-at-home mom who (part-time) manages the bookstore for their church. She and Michael were married in August of 1996. She really enjoys the blessing of being able to stay at home and care for her sons, Jacob and Chris. Being at home has provided her opportunities to do things that she was never able to do while working full time. In June she became the new manager for the church's bookstore - this has both helped the family financially and provided Heather with some 'out of the house' time . She really enjoys the responsibilities and 'adult' encounters that she rarely gets at home. "It is truly a blessing that God has enabled me to stay at home and work for the church at the same time. I feel that it is my ministry, and I can see the blessings everyday that it produces."

Jacob, born on May 6, 1998, and a very active little boy. He is learning new things everyday - all the while teaching his parents and new little brother new things too. Some of his favorite activities are dancing and singing, playing cars, playing ball, and making music with his instruments. He enjoys a few select television shows such as Veggie Tales, Caillou, Clifford, Dragon Tales, and Sesame Street but prefers to play with his toys and his little brother. He loves playing his computer games and is becoming quite the little technician. He is a very outgoing little guy, and makes friends very easily. Jacob is a real blessing to his family.

Christopher was born on April 12, 2000. He is learning so fast it seems that he'll catch up to Jacob in no time. He will definitely catch up to Jacob's size very soon. He is becoming very mobile and adventurous. He is crawling and pulling himself up easily. He already says "Da-da"! He is very strong and tough little guy - but with an older brother, that is probably to be expected. Chris is a blessing as completes the family with a unique joyfulness that only he can provide.
