Department Meeting Procedure

 

1.   One (1) date per month shall be established as the date for the Business Meeting. This date shall be voted on and recorded in the minutes. This date may change by a majority vote at a regular meeting. This date shall be consistent, but may change if a conflict arises by a simple majority vote.

A. Special meetings may be called by the Department Chief of any member with ad equates time given to inform all members.

B. A quorum, 1/3 of the active membership, shall be present to conduct business.

C. Robert's Rules of Order will be used to conduct the meetings.

3.    Majority will rule when a quorum is present.

4.    A secret ballot may be taken if desired by the membership.

A. The ballots shall be counted by the Chief or any Officer of the Department for the purpose of confidentiality.

B. The Chief shall have the ability to break tie votes.

5.    The order of business shall be as follows:

A.   Call to order

B.   Attendance

C.   Minutes of last meeting

D.   Officer's reports

E.    Committee (s) reports

F.    Old business

G.   New business

H.   Announcements

I.      Adjournment
