Tuition Reimbursement Policy

1. The City of Eagle Grove will pay for all tuition and continuing education required by the

State of Iowa's Department of Public Health to maintain your certification, only after the

Following is met:

A. You have been voted onto the Eagle Grove Department of Emergency Medical Services by the active members.

B. You must be a regular, active, member of the Eagle Grove Department of Emergency Medical Services.

C. Satisfactory completion of a certified course and hold an Iowa Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician card or equal.

D. Per authorization has been made by the Chief of Emergency Medical Services or the department's officers.

2. If the member leaves the service they may be required to reimburse the City for costs of continued education, which is determined by active years.

0-1 years 75%

1-2 years 50%

2-3years 25%

> 3years 0%

A. The pay back on the course is contingent to the contract you were required to sign before taking the courses.
