Membership Certification policy

 

Applicants for positions requiring a license will be considered for membership only after they have submitted verification of their certification and have completed the probationary period.

 

The department requires that any certification required for any membership position be verified on an annual basis. The Department will prevent the performance of any duties requiring licensure by any member who does not have a current, valid license.

 

Documentation of the member current certification will be July 1st of each year.

 

A member has the obligation to notify the Chief of any action taken by any licensing agency or any credentialing body, which might result in the revocation or suspension of the certification. The member must notify the department within 15 days of any such activity.

 

Failure of a member to comply with the above could constitute grounds for disciplinary action up to and including termination.
